Nicky Brownless attends Australian Open and speaks of her engagement to Garry Lyon

Nicky Brownless has stepped out for the first time since her engagement to Garry Lyon and opened up about their wedding plans and their trip to New York.

Nicky Brownless says she’s “really happy” as she stepped out for the first time since her engagement to partner Garry Lyon.

Brownless and Lyon revealed their relationship news last month which Brownless described as the best surprise.

The couple jetted off for a holiday in New York shortly after Lyon proposed on their Mornington Peninsula property.

They have been together for almost eight years.

Garry Lyon and Nicky Brownless got engaged on the Mornington Peninsula in December.

“We’d planned to go and we did (have so much to celebrate),’’ Nicky said.

“We’re really happy.”

Brownless attended the Australian Open on Tuesday with daughter Lucy and sons Oscar and Max whom she shares with ex-husband Billy Brownless.

At the Piper-Heidsieck champagne bar she said their other daughter Ruby, engaged to Josh Wallis, would get married first.

“Ruby’s next so I think we’ll let them have their time,’’ Nicky said.

Lucy said it was a happy time of wedding planning.

“It’s very happy, it is an exciting process,’’ she said.
