Eight fresh-faced teams will battle it out on the new season of House Rules: High Stakes, which is said to be the most challenging series yet.
However, Western Sydney mates Laith, 29, and George, 30, tell Confidential they have a slight advantage.
“As a lawyer, I deal with pressure on a the bdaily basis,” Laith said.
“As my job is very pressure driven I’ve learned to excel when under a lot of pressure. I think it will be no different during this competition. However, I don’t have much experience renovating so that will be my biggest struggle.”
Fortunately for Laith, qualified builder George, who runs a construction company, has plenty of renovation knowledge.
“Well pressure is something that I am familiar with, my business can be a lot of pressure at times and over the years it is something that you learn to deal with,” George said.
“I imagine that the competition would entail a lot of tasks that will test your patience and ability to conduct yourself under pressure. That is something that we are looking forward to, I feel that we can design some great spaces once the pressure is on.”
This season, new judges, new hosts and “next level” surprises will push the teams harder than ever as they work to transform a penthouse towering 32 stories above the sunny beaches of Queensland’s Gold Coast.
This year, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen will be joined by new judges interior designer Kyly Clarke and Aussie home builder Saul Myers.
