Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s partner Pip Loth has paid tribute to the singer as “an incredible woman”.
Just a few days after stepping out together publicly together for the first time, stage manager Loth posted on Monday with a picture of the couple.
“Appreciation post for the most incredible woman who is not only giving me strength, support, love and immense joy, but is teaching me to understand and accept that I am deserving of these things and have them within myself too.
“She’s teaching me to breathe deeply, to trust and to be my truest self. I am so incredibly lucky and overwhelmingly grateful for you @natbassingthwaighte.”
Bassingthwaighte posted a video on Sunday night after she performed at the Always Live event at Flemington which included images of her and Loth holding hands.
They looked happy and loved up together as they enjoyed the concert with friends
Bassingthwaighte and Loth stepped out publicly for the first time and appeared to be full of love for each other as they held hands and giggled in a video posted to the singer and actor’s Instagram account.
Bassingthwaighte, who revealed to Stellar last week that she was in a relationship with a woman, was supported by Loth when she performed at the Always Live concert at Flemington.
Bassingthwaighte’s daughter Harper was also there.
They were joined by friends in the VIP area after she performed before headline act Christina Aguilera.
It was the pair’s first public outing as a couple since she announced her split from her husband of 12 years, Cameron McGlinchey.
Bassingthwaighte recently revealed her new relationship, describing it as “beautiful”.
Bassingthwaighte told Stellar: “I’m in a beautiful relationship with a woman who makes my heart smile and makes me really happy.”
Loth, a stage manager, has worked on many hit productions and is believed to worked with Bassingthwaighte on the Jagged Little Pill, a musical based on the songs of Alanis Morissette.
Bassingthwaighte said she and McGlinchey had split amicably and they were co-parenting their two children.
She added that McGlinchey, with whom she starred alongside in their band, Rogue Traders, was fully supportive.
“Cam and I are co-parenting beautifully, and I’m proud of us for that. It’s important. We’ve been on family holidays together; at this point, we’re still living in the same house together.
“It’s a little bit crazy considering everything, but we’re doing it. If I can continue to show our kids that life isn’t perfect, it will throw some things at you but, ultimately, if you stand in integrity and with love, respect and kindness for everyone around you — including yourself — then it will radiate.”
Also spotted in the VIP area were Moana Hope and Maria Thattil, Joel Creasey and Jack Stratton Smith, Effie Kats, Jack Charles, Alice Zaslasky, Alex Pike, Sarah Abo, Brooke Blurton, Khanh Ong and Matt Agnew.
Aguilera partied at The Espy in St Kilda after her performance.
Always Live, a Visit Victoria initiative, runs until December 10, with big acts Swedish DJ Eric Prydz and US country star Zach Bryan still to come.
