Nadia Bartel says she’s ready for a return to public life, with a trackside date next Saturday.
The businesswoman mum of two will join Melbourne’s social set at the Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup.
“I’ve been so busy the last few years and I’m really excited to get out there and amongst it all,’’ Bartel said.
“After two years without crowds it’s exciting just for Melbourne to be back.
“I love (the Caulfield Cup), it’s a great racetrack because you can see the horses so easily and they’ve got so much racing and entertainment.”
Bartel will also attend Thursday night’s Caulfield Cup Carnival launch at Caulfield Racecourse as a friend of the event. The role marks her first major public outing since her white powder video scandal a year ago.
The owner of fashion brand Henne intends to be at the races with a girlfriend wearing an outfit from her own collection, after stepping on course in an Effie Kats number to launch the Carnival.
Josh Blanksby, Melbourne Racing Club chief executive, said the carnival launch would kick-start a memorable week.
“We are thrilled to once again welcome fans on course for our spring majors with an exceptional day of racing,’’ he said.
