Mick Molloy has taken on a new moniker — “Cocaine Micky” — after surfacing in Colombia.
The radio host and TV personality was missing from his Sydney breakfast show on Tuesday but was found on Wednesday with Dr Chris Brown in the South American country where Cassie Sainsbury served three years in jail after she was caught with 5.8 kgs of cocaine.
“Chris won’t tell me what we’re doing here,’’ Molloy said.
“When I got to customs in Colombia as single male on his own, they said ‘what’s the purpose of your visit’ and I said ‘I don’t know’. They said ‘don’t be evasive, now’s not the time’. He said ‘how long are you staying’, I said ‘six days’.
“My new nickname is Cocaine Micky, it could catch on.”
Channel 7 host Brown revealed they were on a secret “animal mission”.
“It is a project I have recruited you into, we are travelling across Colombia in pursuit of helping animals,’’ Brown said on Mick and MG In The Morning.
Molloy added: “All will be revealed on the program itself — should we return.”
“We’re in some authentic country. If we were to be kidnapped, pay the ransom you idiots. Who would they charge more for. I’m going to need treasure money because I’m a national treasure. For you, cultural money.”
Brown replied: “I’d suggest probably after 30 hours they’d be sending you back.”
On cue the pair were interrupted by “two chickens rooting”.
