Molly Meldrum is doing himself a favour ... and living his best life.

Meldrum, 81, retreated from the spotlight a year ago, but in a rare social media post, the beloved music guru was all smiles and thumbs-up.

The TV icon gave his blessing to the Stars album, Paradise Revisited, a live recording of an album the Australian band released in 1977.

Molly championed Stars, and the original album, 47 years ago.

“Great to see Molly looking happy and healthy,” said Paul Higgins, of Studio 52, where Paradise Revisited was recorded.

“He was chuffed and in very good form.”

Meldrum retreated from public life 13 months ago following incidents at Sir Elton John and Rod Stewart concerts. He apologised for both episodes.

Since retiring from the showbiz glare, Meldrum has been enjoying the quiet life with his boyfriend, businessman Yan Wongngam, at Molly’s home in Richmond.

“Molly is healthy, happy and in a good place,” a close friend said.

With his famous catchphrase “Do yourself a favour,” Meldrum hosted TV show Countdown, where he delivered exclusive interviews with ABBA, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, and Prince Charles.

The show also broke acts like Madonna, Blondie and Duran Duran.
