Mick Molloy wants to bring the comb-over back in style.
The Richmond tragic last year pledged he would get “The KB” hairdo in tribute to the great Kevin Bartlett if the Tigers won back-to-back premierships.
Molloy loves the bald on top with hair on the side look, but will he actually go through with it?
“You don’t see it often these days,’’ Molloy said before a sneaky trip to the Barber on Swan St on Tuesday.
“There was a stage where the comb-over was part of the male vernacular and I want to single-handedly bring it back in vogue. I fully intend to.”
All will be revealed during The Front Bar’s return to Channel 7 on Wednesday night.
Previously Molloy followed through and got the Mabior Chol haircut — a strip of his hair dyed yellow — after the Tigers won the flag in 2019.
This rash KB vow may prove a tougher ask.
The comedian tried to dodge the issue after the Tigers’ premiership win last October.
He said he might just settle for a Dusty haircut similar to that of superstar midfielder Dustin Martin.
“I think he’s peaking too early,’’ Molloy said.
“He’s been training the house down and he’s come back fitter than ever. I can’t wait to see him live again and he’s one of those players people remember for a long time.
“There’s nothing greater than unfurling two premiership flags in front of Carlton fans.”
The Front Bar returns with Molloy, Sam Pang, Andy Maher and other regulars Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Andy Lee who is set to rejoin later in the season due to conflicting work commitments.
They will also do an Olympics show mid-year.
Molloy said retired footy caller Bruce McAvaney is top of their guest wishlist this season.
“Everyone was heartbroken and everyone will miss him,’’ Molloy said.
“He’s not answering our calls at the moment but he knows we’ll find him.
“I could happily step in for him with my colourful commentary.”
The Front Bar returns Wednesday 8.30pm on Channel 7.
