Melbourne’s best DJs and singers came together for a day of filming aboard Sam Newman’s yacht with Melbourne socialite Hayden Burbank also among the young and stylish crowd.
Burbank’s venue Morris Jones provided the catering for Top Dog Entertainment’s celebration of the return of live music.
Top Dog, owned by Newman’s son, Jack, shot eight new music videos across the day on Sunday.
Sam was on board driving the 66-foot yacht, named Angst, as it sailed from Docklands to Black Rock, sponsored by Sundays Distilling Gin.
Burbank, who will celebrate his 50th birthday next month, has been in good spirits since returning from Perth in December where he and his friend Mark Babbage were jailed for three months after admitting they had entered WA using fraudulent documents to attend the AFL grand final.
Jack said the day, with Brihony Dawson as creative director of all videos, was a great way to thank his staff. Talent included singers Karina Chavez, Emerson Alexander and Matty Charles and DJ Kitty Kat.
“Sunday was a chance for our team to celebrate being back at work after a challenging two years in the entertainment industry,’’ he said.
“We represent Melbourne’s best artists, so to bring them all together, shoot some amazing music videos and celebrate, was long overdue.”
