Married At First Sight’s Jules Robinson dishes on Jess Power and Dan Webb: ‘They might even like each other’

Jules and Cameron emerged as this year’s MAFS success story — and the happy reality bride has dished the dirt on the show’s twisted fairytale couple, Jessika and Dan, saying their affair rocked the entire group.

Married At First Sight’s loved-up bride Jules Robinson has given a backhanded blessing to the show’s twisted fairytale couple Jessika Power and Dan Webb.

“At the end of the day, everyone was there for love,” Robinson said. “And who are we to judge? They might even like each other.”

Power, who was “married” to Mick Gould on the Channel 9 show, hooked up with another “groom” Dan Webb, who was betrothed to Tamara Joy.

Power and Webb emerged from the scandal as the show’s other success story and are living together on the Gold Coast.

“When it came to them hooking up, we didn’t know the story. They had a full-on affair,” Robinson said.

“They told us they’d met up once; that wasn’t the truth. What they did to get there wasn’t right at all because people got hurt.

“People were lied to and as a group it affected everyone. But I wish them all the best. Time will tell.”

Jessika Power and Dan Webb are living together on the Gold Coast.

Power said Robinson and “husband” Cameron Merchant were “judgey”, adding: “They’re black and white people. They don’t see any grey.

“Now that Dan and I have come out of this experiment in love also, and we’re being put in the same pigeon hole as them, they’re really feeling a bit defensive of that title.”

Robinson and Merchant were this season’s golden couple, who fell in love in an instant, with plans to marry after the show ends.

But Robinson said it was tough to get through negativity associated with being on a reality show.

“When that bubble becomes your world, I really struggled with that,” she said. “It was really good lesson … not sweat the small stuff.

“Instead of being caught up in gossip and drama, have a voice for something important.”

She was also upset by reader comments after her “engagement” on the show was leaked on a news site.

“You’re really excited, then the comments came: ‘She’s too big for him’, ‘She’s so old’. It was really horrible,” Robinson said.

“I’m not gonna lie. I’m not made of steel. But (she and Merchant) are happy and time will prove that we’re the real deal.”
