Alex Nation and Richie Strahan have met for the first time since their public breakup two years ago with a ‘raw’ conversation on Bachelor in Paradise.

Alex Nation has opened up about her intense TV reunion with former Bachelor beau Richie Strahan.

The ex partners share an open chat on Ten’s reality dating series Bachelor in Paradise, which is the first time they have met since their public breakup two years ago.

Nation was chosen by Strahan in the 2016 season of The Bachelor.

“I hadn’t seen him for a year and a half and had no contact. Our relationship went cold turkey,’’ Nation said.

“I felt I had to close this door and get my own closure. It is intense and raw and a conversation you’d have with any partner.

“I fell madly in love with him but I think I fell madly in love with The Bachelor. When you are shifted from that bubble to reality it does test your true feelings.

“If you truly love someone you go through the hardships and the first two months were bliss and fun and adventurous. It was exciting and passionate.

“Then we had challenge after challenge. I couldn’t just pack up and leave and go to Perth.

“There’s quite a significant thing we go through as a couple and family and friends will see it for the first time.

“I was 24 when I did The Bachelor and I’m 28 this year. I’ve learned so much about myself.”

Nation then had her first same sex relationship with football playing teammate Maegan Luxa, but since their engagement ended a year ago she has been single.

She admits she was attracted to Brooke Blurton from Nick “The Honey Badger” Cummins’ series of The Bachelor.
