Australian and Victorian batsman Marcus Harris has married his long-time love Cat McAteer in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Melbourne.

The couple exchanged vows at the Treasury Building before celebrating with 11 close family members at the private dining room at Gimlet.

Cat, a digital and communications specialist, looked stunning in a gown by Hera Couture from Bluebell Bridal and Harris wore a suit by Boss.

“Both our families have come over from Perth and we decided to do something small and then hopefully do something with more family and our cricket friends in Perth,’’ McAteer said.

“It was hard to organise anything bigger at the moment. We’re Melbourne locals now and have bought a house and Marcus enjoys playing cricket here.”

Harris, who plays for Victoria and the Renegades in the BBL, will head to England soon to play for Gloucestershire Country Cricket Club.

Cat will also head over soon to take in the England cricket season with as well.

The couple, who have been together since 2017, got engaged in 2020 but spent much time apart due to Covid.

They found a gap in the calendar to tie the knot with Cat’s make up by Andrea Takagi, flowers by Bloom Club, rings by Cerrone Jewellers and pictures by APL Photography.
