Bachelorette Brooke Blurton admits her many kissing scenes are “cringey” to watch and says there’s one “pleasing” stat the show’s dismal ratings don’t reveal.

The Bachelorette Brooke Blurton admits it’s “cringey” watching all her kissing scenes in the latest series.

Blurton is making TV history as the first to find love with both male and female suitors.

“The reaction has been really positive I think overall,’’ she said at Flemington.

“I have really loved reading some of the beautiful comments that I receive.

“I’ve enjoyed watching the season and seeing it unfold, I’ve been waiting patiently behind closed doors hoping that everyone loves it as much as I did filming it.

“I think the cringey part is watching me kiss so many people on national television but I’ve had plenty of practice.”

Blurton, who lives in Melbourne, said the next half of filming in her search for love was the most exciting. The show has produced lowly ratings but she says it’s pleasing in key demographics.

“I’m definitely glowing and I’m definitely really happy and I can confirm I’ve got the outcome that I’ve always dreamt of,’’ she said.

“I have always loved Melbourne and I moved here earlier in the year and then had to go back. I think Melbourne is all up from here.

“I haven’t actually gone out, I’ve been a bit of a hermit at home. I’m naturally just a stay at home person anyway, a bit of a hermit crab.”

CAMBAGE TO DJ AT MELBOURNE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Controversial basketball star Liz Cambage is coming home to play for Melbourne — as a DJ.

She has been named in the line-up of performers — as Elizabeth Cambage — who will play a two-day festival, Beyond The City, at Myer Music Bowl on December 30 and 31.

The line up also includes Pnau, Hayden James, and Lime Cordiale.

Cambage’s billing follows her return to the DJ decks at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, and at a long weekender hosted by US producer Diplo in Cabo San Lucas.

“My first gig back in over a year and a half,” Cambage posted on social media from her Vegas show. “Goddamn, I’ve missed this.”

She described the Mexico event as “4 days, 4 nights, non-stop shows, pool parties and club nights in one of the best destinations on Earth.”

However, Cambage’s return to Melbourne in December marks her first trip home in a turbulent year.

She is still under investigation following an alleged incident during a pre-Olympic exhibition match against Nigeria.

The incident led to Cambage quitting the Australian team before the Tokyo Games.

The four-time WNBA All-Star has said she came to blows in a heated verbal clash.

“Yeah, things got heated in the Nigeria game. There was a physical altercation and there were words exchanged, but I’m hearing things that aren’t true at all,” Cambage said.

“Everything that happened and everything that was said is on film. I know what happened.”

Meanwhile, Las Vegas Aces star Cambage surfaced on Canadian rapper Drake’s Instagram account on Thursday.

Drake posted a picture of himself and Cambage, with the tag: “Face of the franchise my mini me.”

Earlier, Drake a WNBA supporter, posted: “I need a Toronto team.”

Drake referenced Cambage in his verse on Travis Scott’s 2018 track Sicko Mode.

In July, Cambage withdrew from the Opals’ Tokyo Olympic campaign, citing mental health struggles and panic attacks.

“Anyone that knows me knows one of my biggest dreams is winning an Olympic gold medal with the Opals. Every athlete competing in the Olympic Games should be at their mental and physical peak, and at the moment I’m a long way from where I want and need to be,” she wrote on Instagram.

“It’s no secret that in the past I’ve struggled with my mental health and recently I’ve been really worried about heading into a ‘bubble’ Olympics. No family. No friends. No fans. No support system outside of my team. It’s honestly terrifying for me.”

The Opals dropped out in the quartet-final stages in her absence.
