Lauren Phillips confirms separation from husband Lachlan Spark

TV presenter Lauren Phillips has confirmed her separation from husband Lachlan Spark, just 12 months after the couple tied the knot in a lavish Mornington Peninsula wedding.

The couple tied the knot a year ago at a lavish wedding in Flinders and had been together for six years.

A representative for the Channel 9 presenter confirmed the split, following speculation this week.

Spark had not been sighted on Phillips’ social media since their Maldives getaway in early April, and rumours were fuelled after she stepped out solo and was spotted sans wedding and engagement rings.

Lauren Phillips and Lachlan Sparks were wed at a lavish wedding at Flinders last year.

The bride wore two custom-made Con Ilio gowns.

Phillips met Spark in 2012 after her 2010 split from footy superstar Gary Ablett Jr.

Last week, Phillips, 31, underwent hip surgery and will spend the next few weeks recovering.

She was also last year let go by Myer, following an eight-year stint with the retail giant.

In an Instagram post, she hinted at the tumultuous year and thanked St Vincent’s Private Hospital “for getting this emotional mess through the past few days”.

It comes after the couple in July denied rumours of a split and told the Herald Sun they were “definitely still married and still in love’’.

Spark proposed to Phillips on WA’s Rottnest Island in early 2016.

Their wedding last year was inspired by the nuptials of Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, and featured a one-of-a-kind glass marquee measuring 7½ metres high.

The wedding guest list included Phillips’ Kids WB co-host Shane Crawford and his partner Olivia Anderson, Rebecca and Chris Judd, Emma and Tom Hawkins, Kris Smith, and Jonathan and Kylie Brown.

Phillips wore two custom-made Con Ilio gowns on the day.

At the time, Phillips said: “I am so excited to have finally married Lachie, we are both so thrilled that we can celebrate this day with our favourite people in the world.”
