Collingwood star Jordan De Goey has played with fire but not in the literal sense until now.
In a new promo to air on Fox Footy during Friday night’s match between the Magpies and West Coast, De Goey is dodging fireballs and kicking a footy through lit up goal posts.
Explaining the promo, De Goey said: “It’s been a lot of fun, a lot of fireworks — so definitely not complaining.”
In between takes during the late night shoot De Goey wore a dressing gown which he described as “Hugh Hefner-inspired”.
He follows in the footsteps of Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield and Richmond’s Dustin Martin last year, in filming the key season promo.
“I reckon they’ll be pretty jealous if I’m honest,’’ he said of his teammates.
“They’ll be disappointed they didn’t get the call up, but they’ll get over it.”
