FROM red carpet to racecourse newlywed, Jessie Murphy is fast making a name for herself as among Melbourne’s best dressed.
The model and blogger has shown her fashion nous on the Brownlow Medal red carpet in the past three years, and her two wedding gowns (one for the wedding, one for the reception) by Melbourne couturier Sam Oglialoro drew online adoration.
Now she is striking a pose as the Festival of Racing Insider and Veuve Clicquot Lawn VIP at Caulfield on Blue Diamond Stakes Day.
Racing is an interest she shares with her husband, Carlton captain Marc Murphy.
“Marc follows the horses quite closely, he has shares in a few, and I am into the fashion and social aspects,” Murphy said.
The couple wed on December 29 and recently returned from their Bali honeymoon.
While some are keen to tag her as the new queen of the WAG set, Murphy is not thrilled at the title.
“I am my own person, you can call me Jessie, that is fine,” she said.
The six-week Festival of Racing starts at Caulfield on Saturday.
