Carlton skipper Marc Murphy has wed beauty blogger Jessie Habermann in a lavish ceremony.

HEAVY rain didn’t stop the wedding bells from ringing for Carlton skipper Marc Murphy and Jessie Habermann, who tied the knot in a star-studded lavish ceremony this week.

The former number one draft pick tied the knot with his long-time love and C’est Vogue fashion blogger on Thursday, with Brownlow medallist Chris Judd and wife Rebecca among the attendees.

The new Mrs Murphy is known for her impeccable style and donned not one, but two couture Ogaria-Loro gowns that were months in the making.

She was dressed in strapless sweetheart gown with an ornate panelled corset, before changing into an elaborate gown with transparent neckline and baroque-inspired lace.

The blushing bride’s huge cushion-cut engagement ring nearly stole the show, while Murphy donned a classic black suit, complete with a dapper bow tie.

The couple have teased fans by not releasing any official photographs of themselves together, although the stunning bride starred in many Instagram happy snaps from the day.

Guests who braved Melbourne’s flash floods for the ceremony were treated to stunning skyline views through floor-to-ceiling windows from South Melbourne’s luxury Luminaire venue, despite the pouring rain.

Chris and Rebecca Judd journeyed through high waters on their way to the wedding, with the blogger turning heads in a high-necked pastel peach frock.

Bryce Gibbs and girlfriend Lauren Tscharke also made a photogenic couple, while Blues backman Simon White posed up with partner Jessica Buckley on the picturesque rooftop.

No expense was spared for the happy occasion, with giant hanging florals and a huge crystal chandelier greeting guests on arrival.

A massive wall of flowers also provided a backdrop for wedding selfies, while the couple’s names were applied to the dance floor in gold foil.

Murphy and his new wife opted for a trendy “naked” tiered creation for their five-tiered wedding cake, along with floral cupcakes and sweets by Oakleigh’s Nikos Cakes bakery spoiling guests at the dessert buffet.

A spirits bar was also laid out as guests partied into the night.

Murphy popped the question in September last year, with Habermann announcing it on Instagram: “Dinner last night escalated to this… engaged to the man of my dreams @marcmurphy3 I’m still in so much shock!!”
