US punk pop legends, The Offspring, and White Stripes superstar Jack White will perform Victoria-only shows as part of the Always Live music festival.
Always Live runs from November 22 to December 8.
The Offspring will play a one-night-only show at the Forum Theatre, offering a rare chance to see the band’s stadium-size show up close.
Their hits include Come Out and Play, Self Esteem, Gotta Get Away, and Pretty Fly (For a White Guy).
White, a major festival headliner worldwide, will downsize for an intimate performance at the Corner Hotel in Richmond, and Ballarat’s Civic Hall.
Famously, White wrote the guitar riff to Seven Nation Army at the Corner Hotel during a White Stripes tour in 2002. That song catapulted the band to global stardom.
DJ and producer Anyma, who sold out six shows at the Las Vegas Sphere this year, will perform his only Australian show for 2024 at Flemington Racecourse.
The show, Anyma presents Genesys, will feature epic live production and cuts from his debut albums Genesys and Genesys II.
US singer-songwriter St. Vincent will perform at St Kilda’s Palais Theatre, Her Majesty’s Theatre in Ballarat, and at The Aviary, on the rooftop at Crown in Southbank.
Irish pop-disco queen and style icon, Roisin Murphy, will headline an LGBTQ party, Tramp, alongside Rico Nasty, Bimini and Jaguar, at PICA in Port Melbourne.
Australian legend, Tina Arena, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of her monumental album, Don’t Ask, with a special performance at Mornington Racecourse.
Arena will be joined by US chart-topper Richard Marx, and Daryl Braithwaite.
Don’t Ask featured hit singles Chains, Sorrento Moon, Wasn’t It Good and Heaven Help My Heart.
Missy Higgins and Chet Faker are also in milestone mode for Always Live.
Higgins will mark the 20th anniversary of her album, The Sound Of White, with a show at the Myer Music Bowl, featuring guests Dan Sultan and Mia Wray.
Faker, who released his ARIA-winning album, Built On Glass, 10 years ago, will play a show at the Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens.
Indigenous star Baker Boy will headline Blaktivism, a festival of First Nations artists and voices, at Hamer Hall.
Always Live, supported by the Victorian Government, will spotlight 65 events by 289 artists.
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan said: “Incredible acts, iconic venues, country pubs, concert halls, rooftops, bars, band rooms — Victoria is always live.”
Always Live chairman, Matt Gudinski, said the Always Live program “reinforces” Victoria’s “status as the music capital of Australia.”
