‘Hearts full’ as Dyson Heppell proposes to longtime partner Kate Turner

Essendon captain Dyson Heppell is set to tie the knot with his longtime partner after a seaside proposal in Gippsland.

Essendon captain Dyson Heppell has proposed to his longtime partner Kate Turner.

Heppell took to one knee on Tuesday morning during a venture along the beach at The Oaks, near Inverloch.

The pair, who have been together for more than 12 years, posted the happy news on Wednesday.

“Yesterday morning Dyso asked me if I’d spend the rest of my life with him,” Turner wrote on social media.

“It’s always been a yes, but now he’s officially stuck with me.

“We had the best day celebrating with our family and friends – hearts are very full.”

Heppell, 30, also took to Instagram to share the exciting news.

“Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and couldn’t ask for a more perfect fiancée to spend the rest of my life with,” he wrote.

Fellow Bombers players Jayden Laverde and Darcy Parish congratulated the newly engaged couple online.

“Huge! Congrats to you both,” Parish wrote.

The couple are parents to two beautiful golden retrievers, Ziggy and Flip, whose adventures they often post online.

The football star has served as skipper since 2017 and was one of only four Bombers to play every game this season.

He signed a one-year contract extension for 2023 late this year.
