CONTROVERSIAL businessman Geoffrey Edelsten has only recently broken up with his third wife, Gabi Grecko, but he revealed there is a new young lady on the block.

CONTROVERSIAL businessman Geoffrey Edelsten has only recently broken up with his third wife, Gabi Grecko, but he revealed there is a new young lady on the block.

The 72-year-old told the Herald Sun he was “very happy indeed” with new Hollywood girlfriend Rachel Currance.

He insisted he fell for the LA-based actor and model due to her business acumen.

“I’ve only just come back from seeing her in LA,” he said speaking from his St Kilda apartment. “It’s early days but I’m very happy.”

Asked what attracted him to the 25-year-old American, 47 years his junior, he said he admired her for her smart business dealings.

“She is very successful in her career, as she’s done about 20 movies and she also has a number of investment properties,” he said.

Edelsten says he is “very happy indeed” with new girlfriend Rachel Currance.

Edelsten refused to reveal where the pair met but hinted they met online, saying he was “constantly surprised” by the number of women who showed interest in him.

“I really don’t know what they see in me,” he said.

However, it has emerged the actor was involved in an accident with a female cyclist on New Year’s Eve as the pair waited for a taxi to go to see Mariah Carey perform.

“She stepped into my path looked at me like a rabbit in the headlights and I came flying off my bike,” Catherine Knight, 49, told the Herald Sun.

Edelsten confirmed the incident but claimed it was “being exaggerated”.
