Geelong captain Joel Selwood married his long-time love Brit Davis in a dream wedding on Saturday.
The glamour couple wed at a private property just outside of Geelong with guests including Selwood’s past and present teammates.
Davis said it was a day that lived up to expectation.
“We had the day of our lives yesterday with all our loved ones. It was an incredibly magical day filled with love and happiness. The venue was a private property that is so special to us.”
Davis, a model and special needs teacher, thanked her wedding planner and stylist Laura from Weddings of Desire.
Selwood wore a Hugo boss suit, while Davis’s first dress was Elie Saab and her
second dress was Paolo Sebastian.
Guests included Mitch Duncan, Patrick Dangerfield, Sam Menegola, Tom Hawkins, Gary Ablett and Selwood’s ex-teammates Steve Johnson, Corey Enright and Shannon Byrnes.
Yesterday Selwood uploaded an Instagram story, a picture of Brit with the words: “Happy wife, happy life”.
Davis celebrated her hens party two weeks ago with a nod to her husband-to-be. She was kitted out as the Cats skipper, complete with a bandage around her head and “Mrs Selwood” on the back of her Cats jumper.
Selwood had a Survivor themed Bucks celebration.
Selwood and Davis have been dating since 2015, and announced their engagement in August 2018 after meeting through a mutual friend.
Pictures on the day were by Joseph Willis and Jason Lucas.
