Amie Rohan has subtly revealed some joyous news — she’s pregnant.
Rohan, who has been in a relationship with Jason Todd since February last year, surprised followers by posting to her Instagram story on Friday.
While trying on outfits in front of a mirror she wrote “bump friendly too” and showed her growing belly.
The ex-wife of Geelong star Gary Rohan shares two young daughters with him, Bella and Sadie.
In 2018 Bella’s twin, Willow, died five hours after being born with a rare neural tube defect called anencephaly.
Gary has since moved on with physiotherapist Madi Bennett, who he married last year and who is also pregnant.
They announced in August they are expecting their first child which they called their rainbow baby after Madi suffered a miscarriage.
Amie shares much of her mum life on social media but has kept her relationship with Todd relatively quiet.
“I’ve got to have one piece of my life that isn’t for everyone else,’’ she previously told the Herald Sun.
“It’s made me realise I’m normal and I’m not a broken soul that’s not loveable. It’s exciting.”
Amie has opened up many times about the grief of losing her baby, but is said to be enjoying “this time growing number four”.
“Willow has given me strength I never knew I had,” Amie has previously said.
“She’s inspired me to take that leap of faith to speak up around child loss, grief, mental health, and post-natal struggles. Healing isn’t linear and it’s not pretty either... but I want to help others see that no matter how hard it is to see initially, there truly is light at the end of the tunnel.”
Rohan said she had to be strong after her marriage ended in 2020.
“I’ve had to put on a very strong front, I’ve pushed emotions to the side a bit so it’s really nice to be able to have a cry about that,” she said on the Pregnancy Uncut podcast in 2021.
“All I ever wanted to be in life was to be a mum,” adding that she suffered from PTSD, post-natal anxiety and postnatal depression.
“… that’s OK because that doesn’t define who I am and also accepting the fact that healing may never really end, it’s a lifelong process.”
