Fifi Box fat shamed by a friend for post-baby body, labelled ‘a blimp’ on social media

Fifi Box is reeling after being fat-shamed by a friend and trolled on social media about her weight.
The radio presenter said someone she knows made a hurtful comment yesterday as she battles to lose the weight she gained after giving birth to her second daughter Daisy, 10 months ago.
She was also labelled a “blimp” on social media.
“Got myself out there yesterday, I was walking around the park and I saw a man walking towards me and I thought I think I know him and he got a bit closer,’’ Box, 43, said.
“This was weird because we’re in a coronavirus world where we’re supposed to socially distance. He’s come in for a hug because I haven’t seen him for years. And as he’s hugged me he’s gone, ‘whoah there’s a lot to cuddle’.”
Box recounted the incident to her FOX FM breakfast colleagues Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke.
“There were so many problems with it Fev, I agree, you’re not supposed to be near me. We just broke the law and hopefully no cops are listening,’’ she said.
“That’s not what I wanted to hear, it’s hard enough to get myself out exercising.
“I admit you can’t really cuddle me at the moment because the double Hs (breasts), they’ve not moved. On a serious note it’s not fun when people highlight that you’re carrying weight.”
Box said she also copped a crude comment on Instagram.
“I uploaded a photo of me with Daisy and someone actually wrote to me, ‘who’s the blimp holding Daisy?’.
“Since having Daisy I’ve really struggled to lose the baby weight. I’m not trying to lose the baby weight in a vain way, I’m saying I’ve never carried this much weight in my life. It’s debilitating, hurts my legs, my feet.
“I feel like me in my 20s could shift weight and me now with, she’s 10 months, it’s actually quite difficult to do. I’m really trying to get myself out there.”
