Mum-to-be Fifi Box has endured almost nine months of extreme morning sickness as she approaches the due date for the birth of her second child.
The Fox FM star has forged on with her breakfast radio commitments despite suffering hyperemesis gravidarum, an unrelenting nausea that both the Duchess of Cambridge and Amy Schumer battled during their pregnancies.
“Hyperemesis gravidarum is so much worse that morning sickness and that has continued the whole time,” Box said.
“It has been tough but I am planning to stay on air until right up (to the birth). I will go as long as I can (but) I just feel like I have not got much left in the tank.”
Box’s baby is due early next month.
“I can’t imagine how I could get any bigger,” she said.
“Apparently 5 per cent of women have (a) breech (birth) and I am like, ‘why am I one of those 5?’ and 4 per cent of women get hyperemesis and I’ve got that.
“While it might be a difficult pregnancy, that will make the birth and the excitement when this bubba comes along so much greater.”
Box hosted a Single Mum’s Baby Shower at Melbourne Arena on Friday.

“I have so many friends and family that look after me and I know it is tough being pregnant on your own,” said Box.
“And even though maybe, like myself, you have chosen to do it on your own, it does not mean it is easy.
“You are not necessarily celebrating it with someone, so I really wanted to make these women feel amazing.”
