Carlton star Jacob Weitering and wife Isabel couldn’t have pulled off a surprise wedding without their dapper dogs as guests of honour.

Dressed in matching tuxedos, the well groomed hounds formed a cute bridal party as their engagement last Friday turned into a marriage ceremony.

“The best day of my life,’’ Isabel wrote on social media.

She wore a stunning white gown while the Blues defender donned a traditional black tuxedo.

Also celebrating this week were St Kilda defender Dougal Howard and his partner Georgia Roberts who tied the knot at his parents’ home in Wagga Wagga.

Roberts wore a beautiful simple gown by Chosen by Kyha while Howard wore a traditional black tuxedo.

Fremantle forward Sam Switkowski exchanged vows with Savannah Monkhouse at Coombe Yarra Valley, while in Busselton Western Australia, Eagles star Jeremy McGovern married his long-time partner Madison Williams.

Wedding bells are also ringing for Melbourne’s Bayley Fritsch who proposed to Natalie Perin in Hawaii.

“I can’t wait to spend forever with you,’’ he wrote on social media.

Carlton midfielder Adam Cerra popped the question to his partner Claudia Piva and the couple celebrated with Hawthorn’s Lloyd Meek who got down on one knee in Japan while on holiday with partner Elonie Hooper.
