Top designer Effie Kats is set to tie the knot in Melbourne in front of dozens of famous faces — and she’s planned “something spectacular” for her guests.

Leading designer Effie Kats has locked in her wedding date.
Kats will marry finance broker James Cerolini on November 11 in a ceremony at St Patrick’s Cathedral before a reception takes place at State Library Victoria.
The celebrations will be attended by 200 guests, including Nadia Bartel, Rozalia Russian, Chris Lucas and Sarah Lew, Lana Wilkinson, Elliot Garnaut, Khanh Ong and Jack Charles.
“I decided not to go with a wedding planner and I’m doing it all myself,’’ Kats said.
“James proposed in August 2021 during lockdown so we’ve taken time to plan it out.”
Kats, founder of Effie Kats and Bayse Brand, will wear a gown by Zuhair Murad and heads to Paris in June for another fitting.
Her bridal party will include DJ Havana Brown.
“I’ve attended so many events and we want to create something spectacular for our guests,’’ she said. “It’s on Stakes Day and Remembrance Day so it’ll add to an already insane schedule.”
