It’s been a big weekend for the Hewitts, with 14-year-old Cruz showing his tennis prowess and Bec returning to TV.

The Hewitts had a lot to celebrate at the weekend with Bec making her TV return and Cruz proving again he’s a chip off the old block.

Twelve year-old Cruz, the son of former actor Bec and ex tennis champion Lleyton, continued to impress on the tennis scene by winning a prestigious tournament.

The proud parents were there to watch their rising star son win both the singles and doubles titles at the National Claycourt competition in Canberra.

Bec was back on TV Sunday night as a returning contestant on Channel 7’s Dancing With the Stars: All Stars series.

“What a week for the little fella @cruzhewitt winning the National Claycourt singles and doubles titles! Proud mama!!” Bec captioned a photo of Cruz with his trophy and an action shot on the court.

“National Claycourt Champ @cruzhewitt #TeamCruz,” Lleyton wrote alongside a family snap with Cruz.

The competition featured 128 juniors taking to the courts to battle it out in the 12-year and 14-year age groups.

Lleyton, former world no.1 and multiple grand slam winner, has previously spoken about his lookalike son’s impressive ability, saying he could even be ready to play the Australian Open at age 14.

Cruz has always followed in his dad’s famous footsteps and his Instagram is filled with photos of himself training and competing in tennis tournaments.

The Hewitts’ daughters, Mia, 15, and Ava, 10, are also starting to their mark in the creative world.

Mia has dabbled in modelling and fashion while Ava is a keen dancer.

Bec, who won the Dancing With the Stars title 17 years ago while she was an actor on Home and Away, last month told the Herald Sun: “They are so excited, when I said I was doing it Mia said ‘I feel like I want to cry’.

“Ava is the keen dancer in the family and puts in many hours a week.

“Mia used to dance but has more recently given it up to pursue the more creative side of things.

“I’m lucky having little miss Ava who does a lot of training herself so she’s able to help me with some training and some strength and conditioning.

“Lleyton says he has two left feet so he’s happy it’s me doing it and not him.”
