Nathan Buckley is changing up his radio role this season, switching from SEN breakfast to SEN mornings in 2025.
The Collingwood great will join Gerard Whateley for the Monday Means Test, as well as being a regular part of the program’s Wednesday show.
“Gerard is one of the country’s premier broadcasters, so not only am I looking forward to having a regular front row seat to see the master at work, but I think there are some really robust and meaningful discussions we can share with our listeners,’’ Buckley said.
“The AFL is more than just a sport these days, it’s part of the fabric of our culture here in Melbourne.”
Buckley’s spot in breakfast will be filled by David King who joins Kane Cornes on both Mondays and Fridays for SEN breakfast.
Buckley is again part of the game changing Fox Footy commentary line-up.
He will feature in the opening match broadcast between Brisbane and Geelong on March 6.
“We’ve got nine people on the opening match and we’ll just get better at it as we go along,’’ Buckley said.
“It’s brand new horizons which is pretty exciting.
“Saturdays are going to be huge for Fox given in Victoria you can only watch footy through Fox Footy which is pretty big. If you canvas the population, watching the game live and ad free is important. That’s what we think our competitive advantage is.
“Every team has a storyline and a hook on what this season will look like. It’s fascinating seeing those narratives build and grow and be challenged. That’ll kick off right from the get go.”
