Hollywood sex symbol Channing Tatum will arrive in Melbourne overnight to make a major announcement on Tuesday.
The stripper-turned-movie star will host a media event at a CBD location before retreating to a five-star hotel for select interviews.
1. He’s here for business.
Tatum’s publicist said: “Star of films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL, actor and producer Channing Tatum will be in Melbourne on Tuesday, 3 December to make a major announcement.
“The announcement will happen at (an inner-city location) at 12.30pm.”
The publicist statement added: “Channing Tatum is known for his work both on the screen as an actor and behind the scenes as a producer. Most recently, Tatum was seen starring in Matthew Vaughn’s film Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky. He has starred in numerous films including … Foxcatcher, 21 Jump Street, The Hateful Eight and Step Up, among others.”
2. He’s arriving in town fresh from a guest speaking spot at Harvard Business School.
“They spoke in my class. And crushed it,” Professor Anita Elberse said.
3. His pop star girlfriend Jessie J won’t be with him.
