Footy WAG Jessie Murphy has been taken to hospital with the flu.

The wife of former Carlton captain Marc Murphy announced she has been struck down by illness, along with Marc and their son Max who also suffered the same fate.

“Influenza you’re the worst! 3 in the house down and in hospital. Confirming the flu shot hasn’t worked,” she wrote on a black-and-white photo taken inside a hospital ward.

The couple, who married in December 2016, welcomed their first child in January last year.

A standout for years at the Brownlow, the couple is expected to attend again on September 23.

They have had an eventful year, with Marc hospitalised in May with fractured ribs.

Sharing a photo from the end of Marc’s hospital bed, Jessie revealed: “Emergency with @marcmurphy3. Fractured ribs not a great end to the weekend,” she captioned the photo.

Murphy, a popular lifestyle influencer, said she loved being a mum.

“Life has definitely changed but definitely for the better,’’ Murphy has previously told the Herald Sun. “It’s a new adjustment but he’s been really great, which is a blessing. The newborn stage is fairly easy — they kind of just eat, sleep and repeat really. It’s an adjustment, but all is going well so far.”
