AS the romance between Melbourne’s NBA star Ben Simmons and supermodel Kendall Jenner appears to be heating up, Australian basketball legend Andrew Bogut has urged caution.
Simmons, 21 and Jenner, 22, were snapped together again in Beverly Hills with the rookie from Box Hill carrying Jenner’s bags outside a luxury hotel.

He was also seen leaving a popular LA nightclub.
While Jenner is more private than her famous Kardashian relatives, Bogut said Simmons should be wary of the attention.
“If it’s a serious relationship he’ll have some things to figure out,’’ he said.
“There’s already attention on them. You go into that world … (privacy) it’s gone.
“Take it from me you think that’s cool as a young fella but then once you get into the grind of not even being able to go to a local restaurant to have a snack and you’re getting snapped and everyone knows you’re there, it takes a lot of energy. If he thinks he can handle that and will enjoy that, go for your life.”
Bogut was in Melbourne on Friday to watch game one of the NBA finals series at a Tissot VIP party on the QT Rooftop.
He said he had experience with the Kardashian family after Kendall dated one of his former NBA teammates.
“She obviously likes the basketballers,’’ said Bogut.
“He’s a young man and he needs to enjoy it. But at the same time it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re not as serious as people think and the Kardashian empire has leaked something to the media to get themselves some more attention. Each to their own.”
After news emerged via a New York Post column that the Philadelphia 76ers’ Simmons had been dating Jenner for weeks, he copped a Twitter tirade from the brother of his former girlfriend, pop star Tinashe. Kudzai Kachingwe claimed Simmons only split with her on Monday.
Reports out of the US suggested Simmons ended his romance with Tinashe because she was behaving like a Kardashian by “being too public” about their relationship.
The Kardashian-Jenner sisters have often joked about the family curse of men who have dated them suffering serious falls from grace.
SIMMONS, JENNER IN BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL RENDEZVOUS
EARLIER, the first photos of Ben Simmons and his new girlfriend Kendall Jenner outside a Beverly Hills hotel.
Melbourne-born NBA star Simmons and the supermodel reality star were spotted arriving at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills about 2.30am, after a night of partying.
Earlier the pair were seen leaving The Nice Guy nightclub, before arriving at the hotel.
Simmons is seen carrying one of Jenner’s bags from the car.
New York Post’s Page Six’s gossip column broke the news of the celebrity pairing earlier this week.
An insider said the romance has been going on “for a few weeks”, according to the column.
Another source told Page Six the pair was seen this week on a lunch date at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
And a third source said Jenner, 22, and Simmons, 21, were seen last week in Manhattan with a group of friends at the New York restaurant Vandal.
“Security measures seemed to have been taken to ensure Kendall and Ben enjoyed their night hassle free,” a witness told Page Six.
“They were smiling the night away with their friends.”
Jenner is rebounding from another NBA star — former LA Clippers player Blake Griffin, who was traded to the Detroit Pistons.
The pair was seen avoiding each other last month at music festival Coachella, Page Six reports.
Jenner’s sisters have a history of dating NBA stars, with Khloe Kardashian just welcoming her first child with Cleveland Cavalier Tristan Thompson and was once married to former Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom.
Kim Kardashian was briefly married to Kris Humphries before leaving him to marry rapper Kanye West.
Jenner spent Memorial Day weekend taking bikini pictures with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, but then met on Tuesday with Simmons, who hails from Box Hill.
Simmons is favourite to take out the NBA’s rookie of the year award after a wildly successful debut season, with his Philadelphia 76ers breaking their playoff drought.
Simmons averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.2 assists as he led Philadelphia to the second round of the playoffs.
On Monday, he was seen arriving at Los Angeles Airport.
Simmons was previously linked to singer Tinashe after a flirty interaction on social media.
Jenner, meanwhile, keeps her romances private.
She allegedly also dated ASAP Rocky, and she addressed speculation in a recent Vogue article by saying, “I don’t think I have a bisexual or gay bone in my body, but I don’t know! Who knows?! I’m all down for experience — not against it whatsoever — but I’ve never been there before.”
Page Six reported representatives for Simmons and Kendall did not respond to their requests for comment.
