Collingwood star Jeremy Howe and wife Kahlia have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Zander.
The couple revealed their happy news on Friday evening and introduced their bundle of joy on social media.
“Welcome to the world little man, you are so loved already!,’’ Kahlia wrote.
“Mum & Dad can’t wait for you to meet all of your friends & family (whenever that may be).”
Jeremy, who will captain the Magpies on Sunday against Essendon in the absence of Scott Pendlebury, was thrilled after the arrival of Zander Jay on August 12.
“Mum did an amazing job and being a Mum just suits her. We can’t wait for him to meet all friends and family. Soon... hopefully.”
Kahlia, an events manager at Crown, told the Herald Sun in June they were keeping the gender a surprise.
“You don’t get many surprises in life and Jeremy loves a surprise so he wanted to keep it at that,’’ she said.
The couple married in December 2019. Howe, 30, returned from an injury interrupted season two weeks ago.
Also celebrating a birth recently were North Melbourne defender Robbie Tarrant and wife Jess who welcomed a daughter Sadie on August 11.
“The best few days getting to know our little princess,’’ Tarrant wrote on social media.
