The greats of footy have gathered to pay homage to the new crop of inductees into the AFL Hall of Fame at a star-studded gala dinner in Melbourne.
The black-tie celebration of icons of the game was held at the Crown Palladium on Tuesday night.
Former Melbourne great Garry Lyon looked at home on the blue carpet with his beaming fiance, Nicky Brownless, a beacon in burnt orange, by his side.
Erin Phillips and her wife Tracy Gahan were among the early arrivals with their four children.
Hawthorn favourite Luke Hodge was joined by former Hawk teammates Jordan Lewis, Sam Mitchell and Jarryd Roughead on the media wall while fellow Hawthorn greats Shane Crawford, John Platten, Jason Dunstall, Dermott Brereton and Robert DiPierdomenico mingled nearby.
AFLW trailblazer Daisy Pearce cut an elegant figure in a black evening gown as she arrived with her husband Ben O’Neill and their children Roy and Sylvie.
Among the guests celebrating one of the most significant evenings on the AFL calendar were Nick Riewoldt, Jason Akermanis, Brian Cook, Tom Harley, Stephen Beers, Sarah Jones, Mark Williams, Susan Alberti, Richard Goyder, Simon Goodwin and AFL boss Andrew Dillon.
Also enjoying the night were Eddie McGuire, Leigh Matthews, David Neitz, Matthew Richardson, Chris Judd and Rebecca Maddern.
Other notables at the Crown shindig included Kevin Sheedy, Simon Black, John and Stephanie Kanga, Alastair Clarkson and Jonathan Brown.
