AFLW star Monique Conti enlists help of celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson ahead of W Awards

AFLW star Monique Conti continues to be a high achiever when it comes to sport, but tonight she’s focused purely on bringing her fashion A-game to the coral carpet.

Footy fan and two-time ARIA award-winning artist G Flip will perform at the AFLW Grand Final on Sunday at IKON Park.

G Flip, who has previously performed at the 2021 AFLW grand final and last year’s AFL grand final, will also attend tonight’s W Awards at Crown with wife Chrishell Stause.

“I’m so stoked to be performing at the NAB AFLW grand final,’’ G Flip said.

“Being the cup ambassador this season has been such an honour. I’ve been a footy fan my entire life, it’s the best game in the world.”

G Flip, born in Melbourne and now residing in LA, is an avid Collingwood supporter will also present the silverware on the ground pre-match on Sunday.

Joining G Flip is fellow Australian singer-songwriter Vera Blue who will perform the Australian National Anthem.

“I am honoured .... It feels special to play a small part in the ceremony to support women’s sport in Australia,” Vera Blue said.

Aussie music sensation Amy Shark will perform at the W Awards.

Footy stars step up their fashion game

AFLW star Monique Conti is proud to be part of a new force of fashion on full display at the W Awards at Crown.

The Richmond star, who is also an elite basketballer in the WNBL, will step out on the coral carpet in an outfit styled by Lana Wilkinson.

“I love glamming up, it’s always fun and what makes it more special is that we’re elevating the looks,” Conti said. “It’s my first time with a stylist … This year’s awards might be the best yet.”

Conti will wear a gown by Cappellazzo Couture after showcasing a blue backless look by Daniel Moore Couture for the Herald Sun shoot.

“The W Awards are the cool cousin of the Brownlow,” Wilkinson said. “It’s great to work with young up and coming athletes. Being in their presence is inspirational and … I owe a lot of my career to all the events the AFL do so it feels like a full-circle moment.”
