An AFL glamour couple who switched to reality TV have separated, revealing the shock split in a touching Mother’s Day post.

AFL glamour couple and former House Rules contestants Jared Petrenko and Jess Dover have separated.

It’s believed the couple, who have a nine-month-old son Sebastian, parted ways this year.

Dover announced the news with a touching Mother’s Day post on Sunday: “You, my Sebby have given me more strength and resilience than I ever knew I had. Today isn’t how I imagined my first Mother’s Day to be but I know as long as I have you, everything will be okay. Just you and me.”

Dover, 29, ended the post with a love heart. A model who is signed to Melbourne model agency, The Talent Buro, Dover is based in Adelaide and also works as a primary school teacher.

The couple were part of Channel 7’s renovation series in 2018 and had been together for two years before joining the reality show.

Petrenko played 76 games for the Adelaide Football Club between 2008 and 2014 and had played in the SANFL.

They revealed their exciting baby news on Instagram last year, sharing a photo of the pair holding up a sonogram with their dog Barney making an appearance in the background.

The former Crow told his followers their bundle of joy was due in July.

“Life is about to change forever and we could not be happier @jessicadover . See you in July little one,” he wrote.

Jess shared the same photo to her Instagram account, writing: “So ready for this next journey with you darling!”

Former House Rules host, Joh Griggs, congratulated the soon to be parents, writing: “Hugest Congratulations to you both. This is the best news. I’m so excited for you both …:)”

When Sebastian was born last year, Dover, who was part of the Miss Universe Australia competition in 2019, wrote: “And in a moment our world changed forever … SEBASTIAN PATRICK PETRENKO arrived at 12.44am Thursday, August 6th weighing 4.2kg. He is everything we dreamt of and more. We are absolutely besotted by you baby boy, thankyou for choosing us.”

It’s also believed the couple’s house at West Lakes is on the market.
