WHAT can I say about Randy’s new solo show that hasn’t been said before? “Unenjoyable?” “Convoluted?” “One hot mess?” Sadly, these words have already been used to describe it. Admittedly, they were spoken by me at the bar afterwards, and sure, I slept through most of the show, but that doesn’t invalidate my opinion.

RANDY’S READY FOR A BIG APPLE BREAK
After all, the sight of a purple puppet on stage is enough to turn off even the most die-hard comedy fan. That’s why I’ve spent half of my career performing with Randy; from on stage, I don’t have to look at him.
Randy’s latest “show”, if you can call it that, is an ambitious hour packed full of jokes, philosophy, shadow puppetry, and audience interaction. At least, that’s what he told me it would be over coffee in January. The resulting performance bared no resemblance to these lofty aims. I assume. Like I said, I slept through most of it.
