Comedian Dave Hughes is no longer living the Hollywood lifestyle without Lindsay Lohan on The Masked Singer
Apart from COVID restrictions, comedian Dave Hughes says there’s been one noticeable thing missing from The Masked Singer this year—aside from Lindsay Lohan.

Dave Hughes has gone from hanging out in plush hotels rooms to taking book recommendations.
That’s been the difference on The Masked Singer this year with comedian Urzila Carlson replacing US wild child Lindsay Lohan on the judging panel.
“No hanging out in hotel rooms this year, no Hollywood lifestyle,’’ Hughes said.
“Basically I’m getting book suggestions from Urzila Carlson which I’m following up on.
“It’s a blast, we have a lot of fun.
“I’ve had a few texts with Lindsay, she has a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out). She’d love to be involved but it’s too hard.”
Hughes is grateful the show, which finishes up in a week, is being filmed in Melbourne along with fellow judges Dannii Minogue, Jackie O and host Osher Gunsberg.
But he’s ruled out ever having a go at singing himself.
“I think my voice is so distinctively terrible you couldn’t even pretend not to know who I am with my dulcet tones,’’ he said.
Hughes will continue his radio show on FOX FM, but has not done a stand up gig since March.
“It’s bloody sad. I was just talking a mate before saying March 15 was my last proper gig.
“It’s the longest time I’ve been off stand up since 1992 basically. It’s a bloody punish. I’m lucky to have any work. It’s hard yards for so many people so I won’t be complaining.”
He said there was no truth to the rumour that he would be reuniting on air with his former co-host, Kate Langbroek.
“I can’t give that any air at the moment,” he said.
“There’s nothing in that right now, that’s the truth of the matter.”
