Trent Cotchin offers support to wife Brooke as he prepares to celebrate Father’s Day

Trent Cotchin and wife Brooke are quietly moving on after the fallout from last month’s COVID breach.

The Richmond captain and father of three has come through the tough time and is preparing to mark Father’s Day by backing a gesture of support for all Dads.

Brooke hasn’t posted anything to social media since August 3 when she apologised for entering a beauty salon in Queensland that resulted in a $45,000 fine with $25,000 suspended.

“It’s amazing how so many people have actually contacted her saying we miss your posts, particularly of the kids, it’s actually the highlight of our day,’’ Cotchin said.

“Clearly she’s a little bit shy at the moment. It’s always a challenge in this industry, but you live and you learn and I think the way she handled it was very good.”

The Cotchins’ successful new business Posisocks is part of a new Dad gift box initiative which will provide a free coffee for Victorian healthcare workers via the Hugs and Heroes campaign, and 10 meals for people in need via OzHarvest.

The Can’t Be with You Box and the Dad’s Day Delivered Box feature items from a group of small businesses including a belt, jocks, socks and chocs, valued at over $80, including the donation, and will be sold for under $50.

Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak’s Rogers Underwear is also featured in the box.

“There’s no money making attitude about it, it’s about doing good,’’ Cotchin said.

“We lit up when they wanted to join forces and it’s incredible value.

“What’s going on especially in Victoria, there’s a lot of people doing it tough so this is purchasing a gift to brighten your Dad or someone’s day.”
