FOOTY great Chris Judd has come under fire for saying he wouldn’t die of cancer because he uses a natural deodorant during a children’s cancer fundraiser on the Nine Network.
The unfortunate choice of words was broadcast during The Footy Show’s My Room Telethon fundraiser to fight childhood cancers last night.

The comment came after Footy Show panellist Shane Crawford told the Brownlow medallist he “smells nice”.
“I’m using a natural deodorant,” Judd replied.
“It doesn’t actually work, but I’m not going to die of cancer, so …”
Viewers took to social media to express disappointment, with one writing to the AFL Footy Show Facebook page that the remarks were “absolutely disgusting” and “so inappropriate”.
Others called for calm over a comment that “came out wrong”.
Judd later apologised on air.
His wife Rebecca Judd has previously stated she doesn’t wear deodorant as she fears the aluminium in the product.
Judd’s gaffe wasn’t the only bad news for The Footy Show, with Channel 7 rival The Front Bar winning the ratings battle once again.
The Front Bar averaged 209,000 Melbourne viewers compared to The Footy Show’s 175,000.
