What Prince Harry, Meghan Markle will do next

Prince Harry’s bombshells have raised a lot of questions, many he failed to answer in his TV interviews. See the gaping holes he’s left.

Will Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle will apologise for everything they did wrong in any future reconciliation talks with his family?

In an interview with CBS Cooper Anderson, Harry said it was up to his father and brother to start the ball rolling in trying to patch things up.

He said he and Ms Markle would “openly apologise for everything that we did wrong”.

Hold up. What did they do wrong?

So far they’ve publicly blamed everyone else for their woes apart from themselves.

Is the royal family racist?

Prince Harry denied he or his wife Meghan Markle had called the royal family racist in his interview with British journalist Tom Bradby.

But then goes on to accuse Prince William and Kate of “stereotyping” his wife Meghan as a “divorced, biracial, American actress”.

It follows Meghan’s claims to Oprah Winfrey in 2021 that a family member made comments about the skin colour of their son, Archie.

He said the family was not racist but guilty of unconscious bias.

“The difference between racism and unconscious bias, the two things are different,” Harry said. “But once it’s been acknowledged, or pointed out to you as an individual, or as an institution, that you have unconscious bias, you therefore have an opportunity to learn and grow from that so that you are part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

“Otherwise unconscious bias then moves into the category of racism.”

Confusing or what?

Who made who cry?

The Duke of Sussex said there have been “25 versions” of the ‘who made who cry’ bridesmaids story. It was originally reported that the Princess of Wales made the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle cry over the bridesmaids outfits for the Sussexes’ wedding.

Then it was the other way round.

Then it was revealed Charlotte also burst into tears over the bridesmaid dresses.

When pressed by ITV interviewer Tom Bradby, Harry said to ask his brother and sister-in-law about the situation. That’s not likely to happen.

So, we still don’t know the full story?

Was the ‘Fab 4’ a big lie?

Likeable, fashionable, modern and telegenic, William, Kate, Harry and Meghan were dubbed the “Fab Four” by the UK press throughout 2018 as they blitzed social events and promoted worthy causes such as mental health awareness. The appearance of the quartet prompted some gushing commentaries about the “future face of the royalty”, but was it all for show? In the Netflix docu-series Meghan recounted her awkward first meeting with Kate, when she discovered the Duchess of Cambridge was not one of life’s huggers. Were the signs of unity a facade all along?

How does Harry know Camilla leaked stories?

Stepmothers have it tough at the best of times, so spare a thought for Camilla after Harry accused her of leaking to the press about her first meeting with William. It would seem an especially odd thing for her to do, given her status as “the other woman” at the time. There may have been just the two people at the meeting, as Harry says - but it doesn’t prove she spoke to the press herself.

What happened to Archie’s first nanny?

In was one of the most intriguing passages of the 2020 book Finding Freedom, the authors revealed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sacked their first baby Archie’s night nurse halfway into the employee’s second shift, allegedly for “unprofessional and irresponsible” conduct. No details have ever been provided, and they still haven’t. A case of a difficult employee, or overly demanding employers? We still don’t know.

Harry talks a lot about trust - and lackthereof - he has for his family. At what point did he feel that had broken down completely? Was it before or after he met Meghan? Did he raise this directly with his father and brother?

How long had he wanted to quit royal life? Was Meghan his exit strategy? Had he raised concerns with his family before their relationship?

He indicates he was unhappy for a long time, but when did he know he didn’t want to continue as a working royal?
