The popular US animated series South Park has taken a “brutal” swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the show’s latest episode - including their visit to Australia.
The episode – titled “The Worldwide Privacy Tour” – shows the characters, who are clearly based on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, moving to the fictional town in a bid for privacy.
The popular show didn’t hold back in its depiction of the couple, with viewers surprised at the show’s brutality towards the “Prince and Princess of Canada”.
In the episode, the prince is promoting a book named Waaaagh, which is clearly a dig at Prince Harry’s controversial memoir, Spare, which slammed the royal family.
The couple are shown to South Park, with the Markle character stating: “If we moved here, people would think we’re really serious about wanting to be normal.”
The couple hang banners above their house demanding privacy – and hold loud “privacy parties” in their front garden.
The couple are shown to participate in a disastrous TV interview, with the prince carrying a sign that reads: “We want privacy.”
When the host asks the prince if he “hates journalists”, he replies: “That’s right. We just want to be normal people – all this attention is so hard.”
When the host claims that his wife “does not want privacy”, they walk off the show.
They then go on a “we want privacy” tour taking in Aussie icons the Sydney Opera House and kangaroos and, after contacting a branding manager, the prince is described as: “Royal prince, millionaire, world traveller, victim.”
Meanwhile, the branding manager describes the Markle character as: “Sorority girl, actress, influencer and victim.”
It’s after this that the prince realises he does not want to be a “brand”, and says: “Trying to make ourselves into a brand just turned us into products. No more magazines and Netflix shows, we can just live a normal life.”
The show left royal fans and South Park viewers shocked at how far the episode went to slam the royals, reports The Sun.
One said: “They are definitely ripping on Harry and Meghan.”
Another added: “South Park has seriously nailed Meghan Markle & Prince Harry. #SouthPark.”
A third joked: “SouthPark is absolutely torching Harry and Meghan right now!”
It comes after it was claimed the couple have not yet decided if they will attend King Charles’ coronation.
The couple are said to fear the atmosphere will be as “toxic” as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral.
Before agreeing to fly to the UK for the occasion, Prince Harry reportedly wants to speak to his father and brother to go over the finer details and clear the air.
Prince Harry is understood not to have had any contact with either since the release of his explosive memoir Spare last month.
“Harry has been very clear and his position hasn’t wavered,” a source reportedly told The Mirror.
“He isn’t going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral.
“He’s said he wants to reconcile with his family and it’s their call, but so far nothing has changed.”
