Prince Harry, Meghan Markle reportedly protected by Royal Family at Platinum Jubilee

An insider has revealed the Sussexes were treated “very well” by the Royal Family, who took special measures to protect the couple during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Royals will ‘totally cut off’ Harry and Meghan if they share private Jubilee details

The Royal Family reportedly took special measures to help protect Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from the press while they were in London for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew into the UK on Thursday with children Lilibet, 1, and Archie, 3, and were escorted away from the airport as per the Queen’s arrangements.

The pair were given prime seats with other members of the royal family to watch the Trooping the Colour ceremony, where they were spotted shushing and smiling younger members of the family.

Meghan and Harry made their only public appearance at the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, were they were seated among other royals including Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

The couple celebrated their daughter Lilibet’s first birthday at Frogmore Cottage on the Saturday and flew out as a family, reportedly before the Jubilee celebrations concluded.

British journalist Jonathan Sacerdoti told Royally Us, an American royal podcast, that the couple were treated “exactly how they should have been, as family”, reports Express.

“They were invited to a certain number of the events, they were with the rest of the family during Trooping of the Colour, to watch in private, that was, again, treatment like any other royals in the family.

“I think they were treated very well and they, themselves, had said they wanted to escape the glare of the media and the public, as much as they had had to suffer during their time as working royals.

“I think the royal family respected that, keeping them out of the public gaze as much as possible.”

The remarks come after reports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be “totally cut off” by royals.

The Sussexes are in the “last chance saloon” with the royal family and will be “cut off” if they leak any “private” details about the Platinum Jubilee, a royal expert claimed.
