Jimmy and Nadia Bartel have celebrated Father’s Day separately after their shock split was revealed two weeks ago.
The former Geelong Cats footballer shared touching images of his early celebrations on Saturday with sons Aston and Henley.
The AFL star, 35, was clearly enjoying Melbourne’s run of sunny weather in the heartwarming images, which included two of his nephews.
Nadia, however, spent time with her father and two children, taking to Instagram to share a couple of family snaps today.
“Thanks for everything you do!” Nadia captioned her photo.
“Best Nonno. Our hero. Happy Father’s Day!”
“Best day in the sunshine with my little men,” Bartel wrote in the post. “Aston, Henley and my nephews and godsons Eli and Chester. Thanks for the early father’s day present boys.”
In one image, Bartel was pictured unwrapping a present as the excited children looked on.
In another taken in front of a rock-climbing wall, a beaming Bartel put his marriage woes behind him as he held three-year-old Aston in one arm and 11-month-old Henley in the other.
The images come just days after Bartel was pictured drinking beers with his alleged new love Lauren Mand amid the fallout of his marriage to Nadia.
The picture of Bartel and the blonde socialite went viral on Friday afternoon on WhatsApp groups among Melbourne’s who’s who, the Herald Sun reported.
Last Wednesday, Nadia Bartel made her first public appearance since confirming her split from her former AFL star husband.
While speaking at the Women Driving Change event hosted by Mercedes-Benz Melbourne, the 34-year-old blogger opened up about her children, saying they remain her “number one priority”.
“Everything comes second to that,” she told the crowd. “I still want to have goals. I’m passionate about what I do, and I want my children to look up to that, and see mum is doing something she’s passionate about.”
The successful fashion blogger and entrepreneur also acknowledged that she can be an open book on her social media platforms.
“I’ve always been someone who shares a lot of my life online,” she explained. “I can talk too much, but I love interacting with everyone.”
