A photograph of Jimmy Bartel apparently out drinking beers with his squeeze Lauren Mand went viral on Friday afternoon around WhatsApp group’s among Melbourne’s who’s who.

In the picture it appears the couple aren’t even hiding their so-called relationship amid the fallout of the Geelong great’s marriage to the wife and mother of his two young sons Nadia Bartel.

Almost flaunting their lunchtime hook-up, it looks like Bartel and Mand are pictured dining together outside in the afternoon sunshine, drinking beers together for all and sundry to soak up.

The photo of the pair was sent anonymously to Page 13 late Friday.

Blow-dried and backcombed, wearing statement oversized sunnies, the non-filtered photo shows a nonplussed Mand seemingly dressed for any potential paparazzi.

Plenty have said Mand has been desperate to show off her relationship with Jimmy and had no qualms about his marriage to Nadia.

Sources close to Mand say she has “long been referring to Jimmy as her boyfriend”.

It’s understood Mand flew back to Australia from her UK base last weekend following news of their relationship so she could revel in the headlines.

Sources say Bartel and Mand were in Sydney together this week, where it is believed the photo was taken, before flying back to Melbourne. Jimmy was slated to appear in the EJ Whitten legends game at AAMI Park on Friday night.
