AMANDA Seyfried has revealed she nagged director Seth MacFarlane for the lead role in Ted 2.
The 28-year-old is replacingMila Kunis, who starred in the first movie but is out of action following the birth of her baby girl.
She recently revealed she pestered director Seth MacFarlane for ages for the lead role.
“Seth is very loyal and always has the same team. When they would talk about another Ted movie, I would always joke about how they were going to incorporate me into the movie,” she said.
“I never thought that it would actually happen. I don’t usually like the idea of coming in on a franchise with the second instalment, but the Ted sequel is very specific and it worked out that they needed a new female lead. It was awesome that he asked me to do it.”
The Mean Girls star is currently filming the sequel to comedy, Ted, with Mark Wahlberg in New York City.
The news comes after the classically trained singer shared an adorable Instagram snap showing her musical turns in Les Miserables and Mamma Mia! were a lifetime in the making.
The actress posted a snap of her as a kid holding a clarinet (and wearing giant shoulder pads).
The star, who is dating actor Justin Long, trained in classical opera for two years and studied under a Broadway voice coach for almost five years.
