George Lopez – is that you?
The comedian dropped by “The Jennifer Hudson Show” to promote what’s likely his final comedy special, but viewers were more distracted by his appearance.
The actor, 63, showed off a new look – long, shoulder-length gray hair with a moustache and beard.
The show uploaded a video of Lopez looking startled and happy as he was greeted by the staff as he walked down a hallway for their traditional singalong with guests.
“Oh, my gosh, it’s @georgelopez!” the caption read via Instagram on Thursday.
“Oh my gosh! George is at the happy place now!” they could be heard singing.
Lopez, dressed in a dark navy suit for his TV spot, wildly danced down the carpet and threw his hands in the air. At one point, he turned around and shook his hair for the camera.
He then blew a kiss to the group before he made his way to the stage. “I love you so much, thank you!” the appreciative star said.
“He’s looking like a Latino Einstein … but I love his energy lol,” one commenter wrote, as a second added: “Not I thought Einstein resurrected.”
“At first I thought it was a homeless man,” a third person posted. “Did he just come from under a rock?”
Another quipped: “Damn, he sticking his fingers in sockets again?”
“Almost didn’t recognise him with the long hair,” another fan simply wrote. “George Lopez now George of the Jungle.”
Other fans supported Lopez’s new look, reacting with fire emojis about his long tresses.
The “George Lopez” alum opened up about his possible retirement and shows he would appear on in the future during his sit-down with Hudson, 43.
“I would never go on ‘Love Is Blind.’ But I will tell you this. I’ve thought about this. I’ve never said this. I am prepared if asked to be the ‘Golden Bachelor,’” he said.
Lopez’s comedy special, “George Lopez: Muy Catolico (Very Catholic),” is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Feb. 18. “It is the last one,” he said of the project to Tamron Hall in October 2024.
“I’ve subjected the American people to enough of my crap. It seems like the right time; it’s been the one thing that has just never left me my whole life and it’s a wonderful place to leave it at this particular point.”
