Prince Andrew reported to cops for allegedly ‘using fake name’

The embattled Duke of York is facing yet another humiliating blow after being reported to British authorities.

Prince Andrew's Christmas snub: Royal reporter reveals reason behind absence

IN LONDON

Prince Andrew is embroiled in yet more drama, just weeks after being linked to an alleged Chinese spy.

The disgraced Duke of York has been reported to authorities for allegedly adopting a fake name to register a private investment firm and erroneously listing a London property as his residential address.

It was revealed in 2019 by the UK’s Telegraph that Andrew had secretly established the fund under the name “Andrew Inverness” in order to channel deals brokered at Buckingham Palace.

The pseudonym – believed to be derived from one of his lesser-known titles, the Earl of Inverness, which was bestowed upon him by his mother, the late Queen, in 1986 – has reportedly been used to register four companies.

Andrew is listed on the official documents as a “consultant”.

On Monday, the chief executive of antimonarchy campaign group, Republic, submitted a complaint to British police about one of his companies - Naples Gold Ltd - accusing the duke of using false information in official documents.

“The royals appear to believe they can act with impunity, an impression given weight by the lack of police action on serious allegations of corruption and sexual offences,” Graham Smith told the Telegraph.

“The apparent filing of false information with Companies House may seem trivial, but the UK faces serious issues of fraud committed in this way.

“While no such fraud is alleged here, surely Andrew must be held to the highest standards.”

The Metropolitan Police is currently reviewing the complaint.

“On Monday, Jan 6, the Met received a report relating to a Companies House filing,” a spokesman told The Sun.

“This report will now be assessed to determine whether any further action is required. There is no investigation at this early stage.”

It’s the latest in a string of blows for Andrew, who appears to still be tumbling after his initial fall from royal grace.

Andrew was forced to quit public life back in late 2019 over his ties to convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Shortly before Christmas he was caught up in yet another embarrassing scandal, this time related to his association with an alleged Chinese spy, which forced him to abruptly pull out of the royal family’s annual festivities in Sandringham.

The drama erupted after a UK tribunal upheld a government order banning the man, identified last month as Yang Tengbo (also known as Christopher Yang), from Britain after a long-running legal battle.

He has been accused of fostering links with the duke in order to gain access to influential members of British society on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party.

Yang denied any involvement in espionage and insisted he has “done nothing wrong or unlawful”.

The Palace reportedly had “grave concerns” about Andrew’s involvement with Yang, who had referred to himself as the “special envoy of Prince Andrew”.

He had even been appointed as head of his entrepreneurial program Pitch@Palace in China and had reportedly visited Buckingham Palace twice.

In a statement, Andrew claimed he “ceased all contact” with Yang on advice from the UK government – but did not specified when communication between them actually ended.

His office has also stated that the pair met “through official channels” and that “nothing of a sensitive nature” was ever discussed between them.
