Prince Archie will not be at King Charles’ coronation on May 6 but is expected to enjoy a party of his own.
The California-based royal turns four on the same day that his grandfather will be crowned in London.
Prince Harry will miss Archie’s birthday to be in the UK for the historic occasion as wife Meghan Markle stays back home with Archie and daughter Lilibet, 1.
The Duke of Sussex is expected to cut his UK trip short by attending the coronation ceremony in Westminster Abbey only.
He will miss out on key events planned over three days to celebrate King Charles’ big moment.
Sources have said Archie’s birthday party in Montecito will likely be an “intimate” event, with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland in attendance.
Some of the Sussexes’ key celebrity friends could also be there. See who could make the list.
OPRAH WINFREY
The talk show legend was at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 wedding.
She also secured the bombshell 2021 interview that left the world stunned, with the Duke and Duchess later confirming no subject was “off limits”.
In their Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan, the couple divulged that Oprah was one of few visitors during their stay at Frogmore Cottage.
SERENA WILLIAMS
The tennis ace was one of select guests at Meghan Markle’s lavish baby shower in 2019.
Ms Markle wrote on her then blog The Tig that the two crossed paths for the first time in Miami during the 2010 Super Bowl.
The former Suits actor has often been spotted cheering her friend from the stands at big matches and is believed to hold play dates with Serena’s daughter Olympia.
Serena was the first guest on Ms Markle’s successful Spotify podcast series Archetypes.
Following the bombshell Oprah interview, Williams leapt to Ms Markle’s defence on Instagram to call her “truly noble”.
ELLEN DEGENERES AND WIFE PORTIA DE ROSSI
The Sussexes Montecito home is surrounded by celebrity neighbours – including DeGeneres and De Rossi.
But Ms Markle has previously revealed she became friends with DeGeneres and de Rossi before she met Prince Harry.
In 2016, she told Canadian magazine Best Health that she bonded with the ladies when they encouraged her to adopt a rescue dog.
They are so close they even saw each other during Halloween 2021.
“We were home and we saw you guys [Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi], which was great, but we wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were just not into it at all. Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes,” Ms Markle said during an interview with DeGeneres.
GEORGE AND AMAL CLOONEY
The Clooneys were among the VIP guests at Prince Harry and Ms Markle’s Windsor Castle wedding.
They were also among just 200 guests who were invited to the exclusive Frogmore House afterparty following the royal’s public nuptials and reception.
The Sussexes even enjoyeda secret holiday with George and Amal Clooney at their lavish Lake Como villa, according to reports. During their stay, Ms Markle helped look after the Clooneys’ 10-month old twins, Ella and Alexander, while Prince Harry and George Clooney played basketball, according to Italian magazine Chi.
Amal Clooney, a human rights lawyer, was also at Archie’s $200,000 baby shower.
It’s understood the couples met through celebrity stylist Miguel Perez, who works with both Ms Markle and Amal.
ORLANDO BLOOM
The Hollywood star is said to have become close with Prince Harry after becoming neighbours in 2020.
Bloom has said: “This guy is so nice, and I think he’s got a great sense of humour. I hope he maintains that through this because they’re sort of on a pedestal. We’re showing real adoration to them in one form or another.
“I try to justify it, because quite frankly, if I’m honest, it’s not like me to poke fun at anyone but it is done with affection.”
Orlando’s wife, songstress Katy Perry, is performing at the Coronation concert on May 7 but it’s unknown if Orlando will be there too.
