Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has welcomed her fourth child. The 40-year-old skincare mogul has given birth to her fourth son, who is her third child with billionaire husband Evan Spiegel, the CEO of Snapchat.
The delighted couple took to Snapchat and Instagram to announce they welcomed newborn son Pierre Kerr Spiegel on February 18.
Kerr has two other sons with 33-year-old Spiegel, five-year-old Hart and four-year-old Myles.
She also shares a 13-year-old son, Flynn, with her former husband Orlando Bloom.
Kerr and actor Bloom, who has daughter Daisy with wife Katy Perry, have co-parented their son since their split.
In their statement, Kerr and Spiegel told of their joy over their new arrival alongside a picture of a cute pair of yellow socks and a blanket embroidered with their son’s name.
“We are overjoyed by the arrival of our little ray of sunshine, Pierre Kerr Spiegel,” Kerr shared in a statement posted to her Snapchat.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our fourth son into our family. Feeling so very blessed.”
Kerr used Snapchat last August to reveal she was pregnant and that she had another son on the way.
Raised in the NSW town of Gunnedah, Kerr was the first Australian Victoria’s Secret model and is the co-founder of the skincare range KORA Organics.
She began modelling at 13 after winning the famed Dolly magazine model search competition in 1997.
The stunning model met Spiegel at a 2014 Louis Vuitton dinner, held at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art, after being seated next to him.
Spiegel later told Vogue Australia in July 2022 that the pair exchanged numbers but he thought he had “no chance” with Kerr.
“I had a nice time at dinner with a lovely woman but thought I had absolutely no chance,” he said.
“I gave her my number because she was moving into a new house. I’m like, ‘If you need help with the tech stuff, text me.’ I was not expecting to hear,” Siegel said.
“Then, like a month later, she was in Asia (cue some after-work karaoke and sake for courage), and I remember waking up in the morning and turning over my phone and being like, ‘No way’,” he said.
By July 2016, the pair were engaged and they later married in an intimate backyard ceremony in May 2017.
Kerr told Vogue Australia in 2022 that she “was going through quite a challenging stage” and “didn’t really believe in love anymore” when they first met.
“He was so patient with me. Our relationship evolved slowly. And we established a nice friendship before we became boyfriend and girlfriend,” she said.
“I never even thought that this kind of love was possible. To meet someone I connected with so well, and who is continually working on themselves every day like I’m working on myself to be the best partner, the best mother, to constantly want to grow and evolve, that is something both of us are really committed to.
“And it’s really incredible to have a partner who wants to grow with you in the same direction.”
