The children of two of the most legendary 1990s stars have secretly welcomed their first baby, just one year after tying the knot.

The children of two of the most iconic stars of the ‘90s have secretly welcomed their first baby.

Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, and husband Riley Hawk, the son of skateboarding icon Tony Hawk, are now parents of a beautiful baby boy.

The couple announced the happy news on Instagram on Sunday morning, surprising fans given they had not made Frances’ pregnancy public.

“Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk,” she captioned some sweet photos of their newborn. “Welcome to the world most beautiful son. We love you more than anything.”

In the black-and-white photos, Frances, 32, could be seen with her new son’s fingers wrapped around hers, while another snap showed Riley, 31, lovingly cradling their bundle of joy, who arrived on September 17.

Cobain – who died in 1994 – shared Frances with his wife, Courtney Love, 60, who has yet to speak out publicly about their family’s new addition. However, Hawk was among the first to congratulate the couple on social media.

“My favourite grandson!” commented the 56-year-old champion, who shares Riley with his first ex-wife Cindy Dunbar.

Frances and Riley were married in 2023 after two years of dating.

Other famous celebrity children, such as Bruce Willis’ daughter Tallulah Willis and the late Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda Williams, also shared their well wishes online.

“WE LOVE YOU tiny prince!! What a beautiful gift to such special parents. You are so loved,” Tallulah wrote, while Zelda gushed, “Ahhhh! Congrats!!!!”

The baby’s arrival comes 11 months after Frances and Riley married in LA on October 7 last year with R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe officiating the ceremony. Stipe is also Frances’ godfather.

Frances and Riley have been dating since 2021 but kept their relationship on the downlow until February 2022, when they went Instagram official

“I wanted to share a few moments that were captured / created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy,” she wrote at the time alongside a slide show which featured a PDA pic of them.

Frances also told fans that she was living “more in the present moment” than ever before.

While this is Riley’s first marriage, Frances was previously married to musician Isaiah Silva from 2014 to 2017.

When they called it quits, they subsequently engaged in a lengthy court battle over one of Cobain’s guitars. Silva, 38, got the late Nirvana singer’s instrument and sold it at auction for $6.01 million.
