BROWNLOW veteran Nadia Bartel, the wife of retired medallist Jimmy, is stepping into a new role for this year’s Brownlow red carpet.

BROWNLOW veteran Nadia Bartel is stepping into a new red carpet role for this year’s awards.

The wife of retired Brownlow medallist Jimmy Bartel will interview fellow WAGs as they arrive for Channel 7’s red carpet coverage, before she heads in for the ceremony.

“I’m so excited, I just love talking to people. So many of the girls are my friends, it will be fun,” she says.

With just three weeks until she welcomes her second son, Bartel is turning to red carpet kings J’Aton for her gown.

“It’s not close to being finished yet, in true J’Aton style. I’ve got a huge bump and I’m only three weeks away, but they know how to dress a woman’s body so well so I’m not worried,” she says.

Bartel says she is much more relaxed about walking the red carpet as she prepares for her eighth Brownlow.

“When I was first attending the Brownlow, I tended to worry what people thought of me and whether they liked the dress,” she says.

“When you become a bit more comfortable in your skin, you don’t worry as much.

“When you’re pregnant, you don’t have time to stress about the dress or anything.”
